Purchased this kit and have checked the sprue parts. Those who do not want the armor plates and machine gun can discard sprue Q whose parts contain those.

I will be building this one without the armor plates and machine gun similar to the 5t 4 x 4 version.

I am in the german army for nearly 10 years now and have never seen a 7t with armour plates and a shield for the MG. So this should be more realistic if you build it without.

Interesting point. However, the main reason for building this truck without the armor plates and machine gun is to reflect it in civilian usage. In fact, I build 4 x 4 armored vehicles if I am going for armor and weapons and every 6 x 6 and 8 x 8 truck I built has no armor or weapon mounts to reflect its maximum cargo capacity (even doing that to the LSAC armor cab from Trumpeter which has moulded the weapon and shield mounts. Took me some time to remove those).
