The first shot of the model. It's a short run model and that's another piece of cake. No connection pins and with the fuselage made in three parts, it will take some effort to get them all nicely aligned. But modelling shouldn't be too easy!
The engines also needed attention. The most visible differences are the thrust-reversers. Unfortunately, I couldn't find very detailed pictures, so I did my best to make them look as on the pictures I got. I'm not sure about the construction on the fuselage side of the engines, but I'm satisfied with it
A scary moment: since the Klu has a Gulfstream IV and the kit is a V, I tried to find out the differences. In total the V is bigger than the IV and it has different engines. The wing I can't change, but the fuselage is 1,5 cm too long. So I decided to shorten it by 1,5 cm. The cut succeeded perfectly and the fit of the cockpit to the fuselage is far better than the fit of the tail. The latter requires a lot of attention, but the result will be fine
Finally finished the model. I tried to convert a Gulfstream 650 into a Gulfstream IV by shortening the fuselage and changing the engines. The wings I left as they were, so they are a bit too big. And guess what: the day I applied the last coat of paint, the Dutch Airforce announced that they bought a new plane, a Gulfstream 650! No I'm not going to build that one
When I added the decals, I discovered that the pitot-tubes were in a different place on the IV, but I left them were they are.

I always liked the Klu Gulfstream but paying over €120 for a 1/72 model was a bit too much for me. When A-Model issued a Gulfstream V and Dutch Decal made some decals for it, I decided to go for it. One moment I thought of a conversion, but not only the fuselage of the V is longer, the wings and the engines are also different. So I decided to accept it and go for it as it is!
