Another A-model? You certainly are a sucker for punishment, Lucasz!

Welcome everyone and stay tuned.
@Gordon: yeah, they have so many unique topics I can't resist being a bit masochistic😉
@Ray: it must one of the tiniest kits in your stash😉

I agree Łukasz. I have bought several of their 144 kits & even though they are a bit of a challenge you can't say anything about the amount of good subjects they provide.

I'm still wondering whether to make my old Airfix kit or or buy one from Amodel...
Following one more time!

@Lukasz, you would be surprised, I have an number of commuter and business jet kits to build one day 🙂

@Cuajete: it depends what you wanna build Señor, Airfix made a whif version for USAF with specific engines. The project was cancelled and nobody else used Jetstream with such engines afaik.

Small correction as I explored this topic a bit further.
The engines have been re-used afterwards, but the nacelle design has changed dramatically.
Added small cockpit update btw. 🙂

Another small update. I have to admit the wings and engines are much better than in Avanti kit...
... or is it me getting better at sculpting?😉

If you haven't had to cut the engine off to reposition it, its better than the Avanti!
Is the glue you are using black? I have heard of black super glue...

Aha. Mr Glinski's post answered my question. Was wondering how the glue was that colour. Thought it was a bit early to be priming to check for bits to sand.

@Thomas: But there's a one, yuuuge difference. While you can find the alternative to most of the MrCrap kits, you can't expect it in case of Amodel 😄
Btw. the masks have arrived from Ukraine last week, so I have no more excuses to keep it on hold.

Now, that is true, Amodel are never afraid of tackling esotheric, unusual or rare vehicles.

It is, my assumption is the Jet-Air (PL) bought it once the Coast Air [N] went bankrupt. Even the plane's name was kept under the windscreen.
Later on they removed the tail logo and the name.

Thanks, sanding goes surprisingly well (never thought I'd write such thing) and I started livery research. Turns out that SP-KWN had 2 variants:
- first, until 2010, with partially left Coast Air logo on the tailside, Fagenes name uder the cockpit (both starboard side) and no white elements;
- second, from 2010 on with logo and name removed completely and white port side escape hatch.
I'm leaning towards the first variant.

Sprayed the grey, however additional nosejob is needed tomorrow. Then on to the blue Tamiya for the engine nacelles.

Lukasz, you should complain to LN decals that the red is translucent. They should have it supplied with a white background to avoid this, particularly because it has to be applied on a dark Blue background.

Great work so far, nice to such an unusual subject between all the fighter jets from time to time. Had an eye on the kit for a while, looks not to bad for an Amodel.

Thanks, it's actually quite nice except for the engines and decals. Alignment of the engines must be done v.carefully, in my case the left one is pointing too low 🙁
Nevertheless, Jetstream is a beautiful plane and I plan to build another one in the future 🙂

The blue is lovely, isn't it? 😄 That's why I think which kit could be next in blue😉
Short update: added the brake hose on the undercarriage (it was a pain in the ass to be honest). Still need some static dischargers here and there and the undercarriage covers are still missing. It turned out after all I should have taken more care of the baggage pod joint, but luckily it will not be so visible on the shelf😉
Ah, and the windows of course! 😄

Thanks, the red turned out to be printed in two shades:
- darker - on the squares and top emergency hatch markings
- brighter - side emergency hatches
IMHO it should be the same, but I can live with it 🙂
Still the decal set could be better😉
