Album info
I picked up this early issue AMT kit at a local swap meet, it had been started, but, had pristine molding and the sharpest lines I've seen on an AMT kit in a long time.
It was begging to be Gassed!
The kit front suspension was discarded and a parts box tube axle grafted in, the rear coil springs were missing, so new springs were made from copper wire. There were a small number of other parts missing too, including the blower belt and pulleys, so a cover was fabricated and slipped over the "fake" pulleys instead. There were also a few parts broken which were repaired. The color selected for the body is SMS Color Shift Nebula over a Jet Black base, interior is SMS Electric Blue Pearl on a Silver base, and the clear coat is SMS 2K (2 part) system. The green tint is Tamiya Clear Green airbrushed on the inside of the glass and the back of the headlights. Decals are from Slixx in the USA.
