A tip for working with submarine kits, is to buy a few of those Trumpeter chisel tools. These can be customized by grinding them thinner, and so, you get to make them small enough to fit say inside those many holes on the sides of say a submarine or whatever, whenever those need cleaning up. I don't have a proper bench grinder, so I had to grind off the metal with a metal file, which was tedious.
