Love this machine, I fixed the problem of the missiles when I built mine, but I had a ball of a time with her. You've done a really nice job on yours, any plans on a dio?

Thanks Michael. No plans for a dio yet. I do plan to show it at IPMS contests. 🙂

Congratulations on apparently successfully adding the small and big rubber hoses! 🙂
I am interested in learning if swearing out loud ever happened in getting those rubber parts to stick.

Then I take it that your unaware that the missiles are completely the wrong length and width, because if you did the hoses are a walk in the park to fit.;)

On the link you can see how I went about fixing the missiles.

Thanks Treehugger 🙂. I had little problem getting the vinyl hoses to "stick". I used a very "runny" superglue. The problem was shaping the vinyl (and getting the metal springs over the larger hoses). Those problems were both solved using a hair blow-dryer to heat the vinyl hoses (being careful not to melt any styrene or burn my fingers). I used "twist-ties to draw each pair of hoses closer together and keep them "drooping" the way I wanted. When the vinyl cooled, the hoses kept the position they were in. I suspect this also helped them stay glued in place, since there is no pressure on them to move or revert to their old shapes. Likewise, the larger hose was stretched with heat to get the metal spring over it.
