Bucyrus RB17

The boom was in a poor shape so I decided to scratchbuild a new one. 

I dont know the name of this part of the boom, but also scratchbuild this and also the bucket

Started with the cabine 

The operating cables came as a photo-etched piece in a very simplified view. Decided to faithfully copy the cables using Uschi von den Rosten thread.
They could have been a bit thicker. 

The operator is a Preiser figure 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also added some extra details and painted this 1:87 Catterpillar Dozer (Rio Grande Models) for the same friend.
