Testfitting the gunner‘s tub 

Some more work required here

Continuing to work on the cockpits, fit isn’t that good, styrene filling is needed. The molded on hoistsling was lost in the fitting and sanding process, so I had to replace it. 

Fit on the gunner‘s tub needs some care too 

Cutting Edge resin cowling is everything but cutting edge, it looks as if it was made of an old bubblegum, un- useable ! 

 

Monogram Kit Cowlflapring reinforced with copper wire 

Maybe I can depict the cowlflaps open by carefully sawing them one by one and bending them outward……? 

Engine ready for some more paint 

The leading edge of the flaps had these „air-channels“ tucked under the trailinig edge of the wing.  

So I tried to replicate that like this 

 

 

This is where it will have to go, so the trailing edges have to be thinned quite a bit,
let the milling begin !
