Another slightly philosophical question. A couple of Faller items I have are marked on their boxes with an address for Faller in Austria, and at least one is marked "Made in Austria". Otherwise they look like bog standard Faller items from Germany. I don't know if they outsourced some production for a period or what happened.
Should "Faller (Austria)" be considered a separate Brand? It does perhaps seem a bit of an overkill.

Keep it under Faller!

Some other brands like Revell (Japan) where logo and brandname are the same should actually be merged to the main one.

Some of the splits are historical because "timeline" functionality was not smart enough and splitting them up made things easier.

I've filled in a couple of fields under Markings for both topics of this multitopic kit, but it still does not show up when I search for topic "Chimneys". What am I doing wrong?

Make a search for Topics "Chimneys", and this kit does not show up in the hit list, either in Scale- or Railwaymates. So something must be wrong.

if you search for "topics' in the drop down you only see topics. No items linked to the topics

I guess I was unclear. If you search Topics for "Chimneys", you get a list of items applicable to that Topic. When looking through that list, Peco LK-79 is not among them.
The item DOES come up when you search for "chimneys peco" under Kits, but I guess that search looks at other fields than Topic.

In scalemates, I get 12 hits, but none of them LK-79.

Ah, I see, you search under All items; again, this presumably gets the hit from the kit title.
My comment concerns what you get when searching for Topics "Chimneys" and then get a list. Presumably the whole point of Topics is that you should be able to search for items belonging to a specific Topic, otherwise what is the point?

Another data oddity. Having previously added the Hornby Skaledale brand under Scalemates, I now entered a few of their kits under Railwaymates. That went OK. But when I search for the brand Hornby Skaledale on Railwaymates, there are no hits. Does this mean a brand is limited to one of the *mates sites only?
