Halifax under construction

Album image #1
The Halifax which inspired me for this kit. It is a Halifax built up of parts of several different Halifaxes. In Canada they have the only original Halifax left, but this one certainly is a nice attempt

Album image #2
The cockpit has a lot of nice details, of which most of them will hardly be visible 🙁

Album image #3
Another view from the cockpit. Even the seats have seatbelts in relief. Not easy to paint but a nice touch

The wings fit nicely on the wingspars. The fit of this model is superb! The wings slide in place withour effort and the canopy clicks in place. Hardly glue needed and certainly no filling or sanding. I think this is one of the best kits I've ever built!

Engines in place

Album image #6
Engine cowlings added and ready for primer.

Album image #7
Dark green applied. It looks black, but it really is green,

The result!

The beauty in close up

Album image #11
On the port side arm which is feeding Bambi. The story goes, that once during take-off, the got a ride flare and the warning that the pilot should close the window and keep his arm inside. Needless to say the pilot ignored him, leave the traffic controller behind in confusion and shame.
