Looks very very good! Are the tracks the ones that came with the kit? I'm asking since i'm seeing a nice track sag and the kit comes with vinyl if i'm not mistaken.

Thanks everyone! Danke an alle! 😄

Dan, the tracks are from a Tristar 38(t) kit. The fit was a little tight around the idler but otherwise they are good.

I can see there has been a great seal of attention to the finest detail has been applied here. 👍
The tie wires holding the barrel cleaners is one, and the leaves scattered on it is an other. But so easy to look at for a long time and smile.
Very well done. 🙂
Salute. ! 👍

Thanks a lot everyone! I'm really overwhelmed by all the nice comments! 🙂

By the way, the figures come with the kit. Tamiya figures can be surprisingly good...

It's even better when you end up with writers cramp from replying to all the others who are yet to say "Awsome". LOL 🙂

Philipp, well done. The diorama is great and the figures are intriguing; the viewer is left to wonder what is happening. Are they calling up a squad for close infantry support, or maybe a T-34 is suddenly approaching from behind?

Great Dio!
@Doug I guess the second thing. Look at the original photo. I wonder what was happen with the crew? Did the escape the skirmish or did the fall?

Thanks! The gunner looks fairly excited, so most likely it's just the food truck 😄

I've been informed that this Marder belonged to Panzerjäger-Abteilung 140 which was part of the 22nd Panzer Division. The unit was most likely destroyed during Operation Uranus in late 1942. Since there is no snow on the diorama it's probably too early to suspect imminent doom for our two friends here😉

I've read in PHOTOSNIPER that a panzerjager with 2 playing card spade symbol was captured by the Soviet troops near Stalingrad, in Winter 1943.
Another Marder III with 3 hearts and 3 colour camouflage belonged to 140.PzJgAbt, 22.Pz-Div. also in Stalingrad, Winter 1942-43.

I found several photos of vehicles from this unit, all had similar modifications. Originally I had planned to build the Marder with three hearts from the photo but noticed too late that I had missed an extra support strut on the fender...
