A quick introduction to a project I started a few weeks ago. After a heap of sanding and filling of the front and rear valance panels, it's finally got colour.
Firstly I hit it with a medium coat of Grey Surfacer, and after wet sanding, it received a nice shiny coat of Jet Black. Finally about 3 coats of Pearl Strawberry Red.
After all the decals are applied, it'll get 2 or 3 coats of Super Clear.
I replaced the kit moulded front tyres with a set of AMT conventionals, and painted the white walls with a paint pen.
I'm thinking I'll de-chrome the bumpers, and all mouldings will be a satin Aluminium or a Stainless finish. A quick mock up for a few pics, the front will definitely be higher for a Gasser look.
