LAV-25View: Slideshow Mosaic List 1November 17, 2013Semper Fi! 2November 20, 2013Suspension done. 3November 20, 2013An interior (at least toward the back) is included in the kit. 4November 20, 2013The Eduard photo-etch adds to the insides. 5November 21, 2013Interior painted, weathered, and a little wall put in. 6November 21, 2013Working by trial and error, I was able to fit a photo of an AFV interior as a backdrop for the kit's interior. 7November 21, 2013Putting the top of the LAV on, it looks like the background picture idea worked to my satisfaction. 8November 23, 2013Added a small strip of plastic along the entire length of the side body to simulate the overhang of the armor plate (arrow), as seen on older LAVs. This was blended-in to the side with putty and sanded smooth. 9November 23, 2013The right side turret bulge looks too small to me. 10November 23, 2013Re-made the turret bulge with plastic sheet and added the weld beads with stretched sprue. 11December 5, 2013Neither the kit nor the Eduard photo-etch provide interior door hinges. These were carved from plastic sheet. 12December 5, 2013The kit's outer hinges were too large and not aligned well. They were removed and new outer hinges added, along with door stops. 13December 17, 2013 14December 17, 2013 15December 17, 2013 16December 17, 2013 17December 17, 2013 18December 17, 2013 19December 17, 2013 20December 17, 2013 21December 17, 2013 22December 17, 2013 23December 17, 2013 24December 17, 2013 25December 17, 2013 26December 17, 2013 27December 19, 2013Airbrushed medium green as a base. 28December 19, 2013It took all day, but added the camo by hand. 29December 23, 2013 30December 23, 2013 Comments23 November 2024, 03:47 - Project infoU.S.M.C.
