I was only a year old when Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier in the X-1A, but I remember hearing about as a kid growing up.

Thank you all for your kind words, they are highly appreciated. This is a nice kit and I will most definitely get at least one more of it (I have to do the white 46-063 🙂 .) Next time I will use the upgrade 48908 from Eduard as well since some areas of this kit is a bit barren.

For anyone interested in the Bell X-1 and the breaking of the sound barrier I can recommend Ospreys Bell X-1 by Peter E. Davies.
