Somewhere in the seventies I bought the Fw-190 as my last 1/24 Airfix kit. I started to build it and prefixed it with sellotape 🙁
I let it standing for a while and then the sellotape gave way and I put the lot in a box. In 2010 I decided to give it a try. Don't know how much time it took me to remove the glue remains from the kit!
But then I started building and I decided to add some detail to the engine. When I put the kit together, I found that Airfix made a mistake: the cooling fan protruded from the frontcowling, where it should be inside. I shortened the enginebearers and added a ring to the cowling, so in the end the result looked allright. Since I don't have an airbrush (don't want one) I painted it with a brush and I can say, I am quite satisfied with the result. It is a very nice and sturdy plane, compared with the other kits!
