Welcome everyone, you're gonna have to depart for the second approach as it's not the top prio project😉
21 February 2021, 21:38

I'm tempted to just spray the road and stumps with matt varnish and leave it as it is.
Doesn't the grass look too uniform?
24 February 2021, 20:12

I have to reconsider that, but it would complicate the storage 😉
23 April 2021, 19:03

I think I'm too lazy to go for the British Army camo proposed by Airfix. 😛
I like the RAF blue colour more, hopefully MrPaint shade would be fine.
6 July 2021, 11:45

When have you started it, Łukasz - or I missed something... Following too. RAF Blue is cool 😉
6 July 2021, 12:10

That color is a good choice for lazy people. I would do the same 😛
I have the Tilly from Airfix and another from Ace. If I am also feeling lazy, I will choose the same RAF blue option for one of them 😉

Looks really sweet... but very clean! Time to get them a bit dirty, no?
11 November 2021, 22:12

Well, indeed. Added some dirt and dry brushing. Found out the Tilly used to have a tarpaulin rope, used some wire for that.
12 November 2021, 22:31

The rope came out very nice - I really like your work on these vehicles. The only think that puzzles me a bit is the color of the Tilly's tarpaulin - was it painted too in RAF blue? I always thought it was just unpainted canvas - but, then again, you may be right...
13 November 2021, 16:25

Thx y'all. Alex thanks for your hint, that is something I missed. I think I'm gonna lighten it up using some transparent light grey and will pretend they used greyish canvas 😉
13 November 2021, 21:27

Thumbs up! 👍 👍 And I think it catches the eye more, this way... Glad that my remark didn't cause any major inconvenience... Seeing your results, it's time I get back to my Tilly...
14 November 2021, 20:26

Glad to see you like the change, now I started to consider adding that colour to the Bedford too 😄
Btw. it's Kaki Francais by Hataka.
14 November 2021, 21:16

Thank you Gents.
My shading turns out differently, depending on a day, yesterday it was better than usual me thinks 😉
The blue comes from Mr.Paint, but actually it seems darker, almost the Panzergrau 😉
15 November 2021, 07:35

Glad you enjoy it as much as I do. OK, perhaps except for the wire 😄
In the meantime I managed to destroy the Bedfords Id, luckily there's a second one for the cargo version 🙂
15 November 2021, 19:42

Thanks, Typhoon is there, her role will be the icing on the cake 😉
15 November 2021, 20:00

Thx Rui
Short update - cars got a bit dirty. Varnishing for all 3 vehicles scheduled for tomorrow.
Bike's gonna stay clean.
19 November 2021, 21:16

Flat UV varnish added, but it still seems too glossy for my taste - what do you say mates? Bike is fine btw., intended to look clean.
(Transparencies are still masked)
20 November 2021, 20:48

I'm liking these little vehicles lots, Lukasz 🙂👍 The canopy rope makes a big difference.... I must dare myself to try to do it as neatly as you have achieved 😉👍
20 November 2021, 21:06

Thanks, I should have added it before the tarpaulin was glued and I recommend such order.
20 November 2021, 21:24

I have to agree with you lukasz, it seems they are a bit shiny.
A satin or matt finish even looks better, however, good job, they're nice👌
20 November 2021, 22:32

Try Tamiya XF-86 Flat Clear, thinned with Mr Color Leveling Thinner... when applied with an airbrush, it kills every last ounce of shine and makes everything absolutely 100% flat. You can also apply it thinner for a satin sheen.
21 November 2021, 00:09

Thanks for your support, however I avoid spraying acrylic paints as much as I can. Another very thin layer of flat UV coat did the job and I can announce both cars ready.
I have to wait for some sun to take nicer pics, hopefully the weather will improve.
21 November 2021, 20:52

Caught a glimpse of the autumn sun this afternoon and took couple of pics - enjoy 🙂
25 November 2021, 19:48

Looks really sweet! I particularly like the wash and very even weathering. Nice job!
26 November 2021, 21:23

Love it !! Nice to see some well-done-vehicles in 1/72 😉
Often the weathering is too much, but this is just right
27 November 2021, 08:02

Thanks everyone.
The weathering is similar to my Panzer III, just a wash and some transparent Dark Earth to simulate the dust, nothing spectacular actually 🙂
27 November 2021, 16:43

Yet the effect is just adequate, IMHO 😉 Personally, I am not very much convinced that a lot of weathering and dirt effects are necessary in most cases...
27 November 2021, 16:47

Glad you like it mates 👍 Your comments made me unpack my BA-64 today 🙂
