Welcome Robert!
Spent last few evenings filling and sanding the side-ducts (or whatever they should be called), now they are good enough to get the blue me thinks (along with the cockpit).

Welcome, decalling is in progress.
I have to admit I don't really like kits where the assembly has to be done after everything is painted :/

That's why I had to build it Ben 😄
Hereby I announce it completed - enjoy the live pics taken at the Cliffs of Dover 😉

Oh... you traded the mythical hangar for the cliffs of Dover. I wonder if those wheels are stainless steel? 😛
Very nice, Łukasz 👍
Congrats!

Thanks mates
Well, there are only wheels here Ben 🙂 Even though they were not present on (under?) the real thing, at least not documented - So we can assume they are steel ones 😄
The kit is very simplified, which I found too late (I was already on painting stage), so I left it as-is, but in case you want to upgrade here are my findings:
- there were sort of four "feet" that it used to stand on, while not flying
- the vertical supports of the main vent have holes in reality
- the hammer-like things on the side ducts were yellow, not red as Airfix states (these are fire extinguishers apparently)
- side-duct need thinning from the inside at the ends
- there is antenna and two rods supporting a venturi tube on the cockpit's roof
- seats are bit different, few small bent plastic rods could do the job
- the black G-12-4 markings on the sides were added later, not visible on early pics
- later on the equipment on the deck was extended, like sort of small engine (APU?) on a stand behind the main vent and other stuff at the front
- fire extinguishers on the outside of the tiny cockpit side walls
- windscreen wipers are missing too
Here's what the proper model should look like, hope it helps anyone approaching this kit in the future (missing the main vent support holes though):

And now for something completely different. Despite the inaccuracies, it is very lovely, Lukasz!

Thank you, much appreciated. The white part reminds me of these old-fashioned white porcelain cups 😄
