Decals from Ukraine have arrived, but they differ to what was presented on the webpage (see the green rectangles on the last pic). I'm currently thinking whether to paint the lines completely or try to use as much of the decal sheet as possible and modify the red decal to make the turn.

Well, to my astonishment I found replacement decals today in my post box. I wrote to them that the previous ones were wrong, but didn't get any feedback, so didn't expect much.
But great respect to the folkes from BSmodelle for such level of customer support !!! 👍

Decided to paint the white part of the engine logos as the decals contain only the red-blue part of it. Still wondering how to emulate that thin blue line separating the gery undersides from the white top-part...

That thin blue line should be in french blue, which is rather easy to find. Soooooo... you could spray some of it on a clear decal film and cut thin lines. It should do the trick.

Finished! I skipped the "02" number, because the decals I found in my stash disintegrated. Also in the meantime I had to modify the BS decals by hand, cause the engine chevrons were not mirrorred. There are other flaws, but let's forget them for now. 🙂

Indeed, if I'd be building it today, I would remove all those huge panel lines, extend the fuselage (it's too short for the production version) and paint the stripes on my own 🙂
