Very nice work George. I like this much because of the very nice color selection and weathering. That all comes together very lifelike.

Nice. I thought the decals were a little thin, but other than that it was a nice quick build from my side as well. I like your small plinth.

Thanks Will! 🙂. The decals were definitely the most challenging part of this build. Hobbyboss does provide "extra" for the waterline strip - a greatly appreciated perk that has me liking Hobbyboss a whole lot 👍. The "plinth" cost $0.99 at a local craft store. I purchased several in various shapes, stained and varnished them, and have them ready to go for the next few models.😉

Excellent work, George!👍
Are the PE-parts included in the kit or did you pimp your model?

Thanks Ulf and Scott! 🙂. Ulf, the kit comes with PE parts, (screw, windscreen, hatches for the sail, and a nameplate). I liked the plastic screw better than the PE, built my own windscreen out of plastic sheet (the PE part was solid and had no windows in it!), and made the basket antenna out of wire.

I think the Russians have some weird looking stuff, but I think the Akula is the best looking sub. 🙂
