Hi Steve - it's not really my world (I can't do this one so good) but it looks really pretty.

seems to be the right formula ... a very good job
brake coolers ... or whether
that would seem to be too up when you compare the image.

But who knows. I do not know much about formulas.

@Marko, yes!!! you're right they are too high, compared to your pic. When I built the model, I had an issue positioning them, Studio27 wanted me to put them in this position, I wanted them in another position. I tried surgery but it was having none of it, so I went on line and did some research. I read that Ferrari made them adjustable, so they could be raised or lowered, depending on which track and conditions they were racing on/in... So I decided to cede defeat and leave them as Studio27 depicted them🤔🤔🤔

My fingers twitch every time i see one of these kits. i actually have ordered one but they aren't sure if they can get hold of it for me scenes it's out of production. but in the meantime i will sit back and admire your work on these beauties.

@Alex, thanks😢 once you've tasted multi media they become extremely addictive, you can only feed the addiction I'm affraid. Next step is MFH and no turning back, you become a lost cause. Keep checking eBay if you really want one, they do turn up... I've PM'd, on eBay, Hong Kong and Japanese sellers for items hard to find...

Steve,
wonderful smooth and an amazing glossy finish! In combination with a clean built and your famous skill, this model looks like the real 811 PS racer! Great job!

Hi George!!!
Thanks for the compliment, which I'm proud of. I know and admire your builds greatly🙂
I built this before I joined scalemates and before joining f1m.com so no WIP...
The kit is typical of S27's from this period, but builds nicely and fits well.
Resin needs some preperation, scribing and washing.
White metal parts need cleaning, smoothing with also some shaping to fit...
I used 2 part 5 minute epoxy for white metal and p/etch, super glue for resin parts.
If needed I used Humbrol Putty. I used Tamiya's primer and a Car Rattle Can spray " Ford Radiant Red " from a local Auto spares retailer, which I decanted and Airbrushed. Hope this is helpful to you George👍

Really nice build Steve. I like the heated metal effects you reproduced on the engine.

Thanks Clifford👍
Christopher thanks...
That was one of my first attempts of doing this effect.
I found if you do blue first, then red whilst blue is still wet, they blend more realistically, rather than a sharp line separating the two colours.
I did this with the orange as well...
Thanks Clifford👍

It's nice to see that one of these S27 kits can be finished. I've got one that has been forever stuck with that butt end....especially the exhaust and the shield, just cannot get them to fit together, so, congratulations (many years after the fact).

Aaah, the older one gets the less time they have for Ill fitting kits. Used to be, I would have screamed and yelled, "Fit, damn you!" Now, I just take a deep breath, put it back in the box and come back to it later. Sadly, there are several in that pile. .....one of these days. Did your kit come with the Arnoux head rest? I actually have the "2B" version and mine didn't. I keep toying with the idea of making my own from Super Sculpy.

Studio27 kits, one of my favourite kit manufacturers. After the sad loss of Gilles Villeneuve at Zolder in 1982, Patrick Tambay was bought in too replace him. Although Gilles was tiny in stature, it was a b1%6y big place too fill. Here is the ground sensitive missile he was given to do it with...
