Łukasz GlińskiWelcome. I thought it's gonna be quick, but it wants more and more putty 😉 Wondering whether to rescribe the lines (not really eager to do it) or try drawing them with a pencil later on. After all it's a sentmental build, any accuracy is purely coincidential 😉

Łukasz GlińskiThank you for your encouraging words. I just discovered today one wing is in front of the other 🙂 So today was the surgery day - I had to reattach the wing and the putty is just drying. Once again kudos to the Perfect Plastic Putty manufacturer! 🙂

Łukasz GlińskiSanded, filled and primed the Shturmovik couple of times last days. Now the big question remains - to rescribe or not to rescribe? I still didn't decide, thought the kit is not to be the most accurate anyway...
Btw. during my research for this project I found out the brand new Tamiya kit has the newer wings (so called 'arrow' ones) and I doubt it can be built in wartime Polish camo.

Łukasz GlińskiStarted painting. As usual in case of +1 colour camo I lost the preshading 🙂, but also I thinned the green too much and have to paint it once more.

Łukasz GlińskiThe result is too bright for me.
After studying Urban's IPMS pages and Cybermodeller I decided to darken the colours accordingly: sand will be overpainted with Hataka Dark Earth (my approximation of FS30111) and green with medium shade from SEA set (my approximation of FS14257).
Grey and blue will stay 🙂

The Soviet Russia didn't have precise mixing standards, so I assume my findings to be fair enough 🙂

Łukasz GlińskiFinished! Thanks for your previous comments 🙂 I spent last few days trying to get the antenna right (and broke it 5 times in the process 🙂 ) and mounting the machine gun (turns out, the gunner compartment has been designed too short in this kit.

Łukasz GlińskiThank you folks, the kit is very basic indeed and the dimensions are also inaccurate in multiple places (e.g. cockpit), but it's a very sentimental build anyway 🙂
