Just got mine today, first impressions are very impressed with the amount of parts and quality of the moulding. All plastic parts and sprues are bagged. Not al parts are on sprues. The figure has limbs on a sprue but a separate body in a bag. Two full plane bodies, one fully clear red and one red and white opaque body. Looks like you could build with full opaque or full clear or half and half if you prefer. I havent opened the bags yet but inspecting there is no obvious flashing, the moulding looks very good, clean and detailed. The manual is full colour with simple directions in English, Japanese and I think Chinese too, but the text isn’t really needed. Its meant to be a snap fit no-glue kit and some parts have factory paint on large areas. Decals are also bagged separate in the instructions bag for details. So painting is not essential, but the kit will certainly benefit with some detail painting and weathering etc over the base coloured plastic. The brown sprue offers the chance to paint some wood grain (its wooden parts). I’m very happy with it at first glance and look forward to building it. Just need to decide if I should do this first or the Meng Red Baron. Need to clear space first...
