To me, the vertical tail looks too tall and skinny, and the reverse rake on the large drop tank pylon looks too severe. Just my reaction.

I'm no expert but I also agree that the tail looks a bit tall and skinny. Not sure about the drop tank pylon. And, what's the storey with the cloudy frosted canopy 😁

From what I can see, the vertical tail mounted on the model is the 'tall tail' which was fitted to later F-84Fs. From what I read, the 'short tail' was fitted to the Republic-built blocks up to the F-84F-45-RE and the General Motors-built blocks up to the F-84F-40-GK; the 'tall tail' (which added 28 cm to the vertical tail) appeared on the Republic F-84F-46-RE to F-84F-81-RE and the General Motors F-84F-41-GK to F-84F-51-GK.

I'm especially pleased to see this kit finally has a lot of features preceding models (Airfix, Italeri, PJ Productions and Sword) often failed to include: the HVAR rockets; and especially the Mark 7 bomb and its pylon.

Yes, the aft fuselage diameter is slightly too small and the chord of both fins (long and short fin) a bit too narrow on top, this makes it look skinny at the rear. AZ is here on the thick side, so the difference is feeled quite doubled

I photographed the test frames at the Pantherscup exhibition in Prague. We have something to look forward to.
